# The RADIQ app

You can use RADIQ entirely from Claude, Codex or another AI app. The RADIQ app is where you set it up, control what it records, and use the parts that work on their own: Chat, Meetings and Automation.

## The sidebar

| Section | What it's for |
| --- | --- |
| **Chat** | Ask about your own work, inside RADIQ. Clicking Chat starts a new conversation. |
| **Meetings** | Your calls with live notes, transcripts, summaries and speakers. See [Meetings](https://myradiq.com/docs/meetings). |
| **Automation** | Tasks RADIQ runs on a schedule or when something happens. See [Automations](https://myradiq.com/docs/automations). |
| **Connections** | Your AI apps (**AI tools**) and the services RADIQ can read from or send to, such as Slack, Gmail, Notion or Telegram. |
| **Settings** | Recording, privacy, AI models, account and app preferences. |

## Chat

RADIQ's Chat answers from the same history your connected AI apps see, using RADIQ's tools for you. It uses **RADIQ Cloud** by default, and your usage shows in **Settings → AI credits**.

To use a subscription or key you already have instead, open **Settings → Models & keys** and add one:

- **ChatGPT**: sign in with your ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription.
- **Grok**: sign in with your SuperGrok or X Premium subscription.
- **Claude API** or **xAI**: paste an API key.
- **Ollama**: use models running on your own Mac.
- **Custom**: any OpenAI-compatible provider or self-hosted model.

Pick the model for a conversation from the model menu in the chat box. Each automation can use its own model too.

## Search

Press ⌃⌘K, or choose **Search** from the menu bar icon, to search past chats and your history. Type `@` to filter by app or person and `#` for tags.

## Connections

Connections has two parts:

- **AI tools**: the AI apps on your Mac that can use RADIQ. See [Connect your AI](https://myradiq.com/docs/connect).
- **Services** such as Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, Linear, GitHub, HubSpot and Telegram, grouped by category. Connect a service so Chat and your automations can read from it or send results to it. You can also add your own MCP server under **Custom MCP**.

## Settings

| Group | Pages |
| --- | --- |
| Capture & data | **Screen** (monitors, quality, capture frequency) · **Audio & meetings** (microphone, transcription, meeting detection, live notes) · **Speakers** · **Disk & retention** · **Privacy** · **Permissions** |
| AI | **AI features** · **Models & keys** · **AI credits** |
| Account | **Account**: sign-in and plan |
| App | **General** (start at login, updates) · **Appearance** · **Notifications** · **Shortcuts** |

Settings has a search box at the top if you can't find a setting.

## Keyboard shortcuts

| Action | Default on Mac |
| --- | --- |
| Open Chat | ⌃⌘L |
| Search | ⌃⌘K |

Change these, and the shortcuts to start and stop recording, in **Settings → Shortcuts**.
